Today the Traditional Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Monica, Widow. She was born in Africa. She first converted her pagan husband to the true Faith, and then by her tears and unceasing prayers, her son Saint Augustine, who is regarded as one of the greatest Doctors of the Western Church. She passed away at Ostia in the year 337.
