Today the traditional Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of, Saint Francis of Assisi, Confessor. He is known as the Seraphic Saint, Saint Francis was born at Assisi, Italy, in 1182. Saint Francis in his youth loved pleasure and fine clothes. He renounced his wealth and became the most extraordinary Saint of the Middle Ages. He founded the Order of Friars Minor, the Second Order of the Poor Clares, and the Tertiaries or Third Order of Saint Francis. Our Lord Jesus favored him with the Stigmata. He faithfully pasted away in 1226.
