Today the Traditional Catholic Church celebrates the mass of, the Third Sunday In Advent. Today's Mass lesson for traditional Catholics; On this "Gaudete" day (Rejoice), we are invited to a spiritual joy, for "the Lord is near"; but we are also warned like the Pharisees to whom Saint John the Baptist said: "In the midst of you there has stood One Whom you do not know." This and the 4th Sunday of Lent are the only Sundays throughout the year in which rose-colored vestments are permitted because of the theme of joy throughout the Mass.
