Today the Traditional Catholic Church celebrates mass for, Ember Wednesday. The four seasons of the ecclesiastical Catholic year are consecrated to God by the Ember Days (Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday). They are an occasion of thanking God for the blessings received during the previous season, of praying for those to be ordained, and of renewing ourselves spiritually. For Catholics, these Ember days should be for fasting and abstinence.
